Compress JPG images
Dropsize compresses JPG and JPEG photos right in your browser using the mozjpeg encoder — smaller files at the quality you choose, with no uploads.

Quality or target size
Drag the quality slider for a balance of size and clarity, or switch to “Target size” and type the exact KB you need. mozjpeg squeezes JPGs smaller than a typical “save as JPEG”.
Resize and batch
Also reduce the dimensions to save even more, and process many photos at once — download them all as a .zip.
Frequently asked questions
How small can a JPG get?
It depends on the photo and quality. Around quality 70–80 most photos look great at a fraction of the original size. Use target size to hit an exact limit.
Is JPG or WebP smaller?
WebP is usually smaller at the same quality. If you must keep JPG for compatibility, mozjpeg still compresses it well.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Compression runs entirely in your browser.
