Compress PNG images
PNGs are lossless and often large. Dropsize makes them smaller right in your browser — with no uploads.

Three ways to shrink a PNG
1) Keep the PNG and optimize it losslessly (oxipng) for a smaller file with identical pixels. 2) Resize to fewer pixels. 3) Convert to WebP (or AVIF), which is dramatically smaller — best when you don’t specifically need PNG.
Keeps transparency
Transparency is preserved whether you optimize the PNG or convert to WebP/AVIF. Add a batch and download everything as a .zip.
Frequently asked questions
Why is my PNG so large?
PNG is lossless, so photos stay big. For big savings convert to WebP or AVIF; for a logo or screenshot you want to keep as PNG, use lossless optimization and resizing.
Does compressing PNG lose quality?
Lossless PNG optimization keeps identical pixels. Converting to WebP/AVIF is lossy but usually looks the same at high quality and is far smaller.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser.
