Dropsize (“we”, “us”) is built around a simple idea: your images should stay yours. This policy explains what we do — and mostly don’t — collect when you use dropsize.app or the Dropsize mobile app.

Your images are compressed entirely on your own device and are never uploaded to us or anyone else. We don’t require an account, and we don’t collect personal information. We use only privacy-friendly, anonymous, aggregate analytics to understand overall usage.

All compression, resizing and conversion happen locally — in your browser (using WebAssembly) or on your phone. Your images are never sent to a server, never stored by us, and never seen by us. Downloads and zip files are created on your device. When you close the page or app, the images you added are gone.

We do not collect names, emails, accounts, or the content of your images. On the website we use Vercel Web Analytics, a cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics service that records anonymous, aggregate data such as page views, referring sites, country and device type. It does not identify you and does not track you across other websites.

The core tool does not use tracking cookies, and our analytics is cookieless. We use your browser’s (or app’s) local storage only to remember preferences like your chosen language and light/dark theme. That information stays on your device and is not sent to us.

The website is hosted on Vercel, which also provides the anonymous analytics described above and may process standard technical data (such as IP addresses) to deliver and secure the site. We do not share personal data with advertisers or data brokers.

We do not currently show ads. If we introduce advertising in the future, we will update this policy and disclose any advertising partners and the data they use before any ads run.

The iOS and Android apps follow the same principle. The app requests access to your photos only so you can pick images to compress on your device; those images are not collected, uploaded, or shared. Compressed results are saved only where you choose to save them.

Dropsize is a general-purpose tool that is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Because we don’t collect personal data, there is little to access or delete. You can clear the locally stored preferences at any time by clearing your browser or app storage.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
